The end of my career
My last track meet was yesterday. I did not make it to Nationals. It was a bittersweet ending to all the years I put into jumping. I cleared 5'8.5'' but my knee buckled on me twice while jumping 5'10''. I guess it wasn't meant to be. It's good for my body to be done, but it's going to be hard adjusting to a life without high jumping. I think it's going to be harder than I ever imagined to say goodbye to something that has been such an enormous part of my life. I have learned so much and have had so many great experiences that I would not ever take back. Life moves on, and so that means I must try to move on too.
