My first 5K

My brother-in-law Drew has been interning with American Red Cross and put together a 5K and I ran it. It was my very first 5K and I was a little nervous, but kind of excited.

At registration

I was at the front of the line when the race started, but quickly saw just how competitive people are with these runs. I ran my hardest and crossed the finish line with a time of 22 minutes 33 seconds.

I look exactly like how I felt...tired and trying to breathe.

To my surprise I came in 2nd place for my age group (18-24) and won a night skiing pass and $10.00 to Brick Oven.

It was a fun experience and hopefully I'll do more.
