Because of this...
(Jordan's Uniform)
I have been having a sew sew day.
Jordan's first day out on the road with his field training officers is next Monday. I have been busy sewing away altering ALL of his uniforms. He has 4 short sleeve and 4 long sleeve tops that are all too large and 4 pairs of pants that are all too small in the waist and too long in the legs. You would think because they measured him that his uniforms would fit perfectly right? WRONG! All of his friends are having to go to a seamstress and pay $15 per article of clothing to get theirs altered. NO WAY was I about to spend $180 for something I could do myself. I took his shirts in, hemmed up and took out the waist in all of his pants. Well, to be honest I had never taken pants out at the waist and had no idea how, but thanks to youtube I learned in 5 minutes which produced great results. (I was still nervous though). It is days like today that I am so grateful that I know how to sew just so I don't have to spend $180.
I'm so behind in the blogging world!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Jordan! Deputy that's awesome! (and a lil scary) but really happy for you guys!
I'm very impressed with your sewing skills. Taking out pants would be very intimidating. I need to utelize youtube more often.
Love reading the posts!
